The soundbar takes a lot longer to turn off ('Stand by' appears on front panel repeatedly) than when it was working fine. Settings such as volume, function, sound settings and/or personal information stored on the system may be changed. Settings return to their initial status after a reset. Refer to your manual for model-specific information.

The reset method differs depending on your Soundbar model.

Those two actions are not very convenient so I have not tried them yet. Sony suggests removing HDMI cables from the sound bar and unplugging it for 2 minutes and if this does not work, do a factory reset which is in the sound bar menu.

After 1-2 minutes, power the TV back on and the problem goes away.
